Based on MBE’s race winning 13 degree GB cylinder head, the GB Sprint is modified to optimize this head specifically for Sprint Car racing. In fact, the 13 degree GB Sprint outperforms any Cup-style SB2 cylinder head.
MBE’s porting program for this head has reworked the port cross-sectional area to take advantage of the unique nature of Sprint Car racing engines running alcohol and mechanical fuel injection. Although popular opinion holds that engines running alcohol fuel require the largest ports possible, after extensive R&D MBE found that a slightly smaller port actually improves both velocity and power.
